«What makes the Rob the Rob?»
Working in advertising means meeting a lot of people. At first everyone calls me Rob. But the longer I work with my colleagues, the more nicknames I get. Different team partners, different nicknames. Teammates called me:
RobBro – I like to work with young people.
Roberto – I have a sweeping gesture like an Italian.
RobStar – I can be a fix star when the team is lost.
RobinHood – I believe in justice.
Robinson – I'm always trying to break new ground.
Robespierre – I am incorruptible.
Robo – I can be as tireless as a robot.
RobBooster – I motivate people.
Rob'n'Roll – I like to celebrate pitch wins.
Robtimist – I am an optimist.
RobBuddy – I talk with people on eyelevel, never from above.
RobStar – I am a national and international awarded creative.
RobTwin – I have a twin brother (no joke).
Robér – I worked in Montreal for two years.
RobBoarder – I spent my youth on the board.
RobBoss – I can decide and lead teams.
Robert says only my wife.
A quote from an ECD that I worked with: «He prefers to talk about the new. Rob is a man of ideas, a lateral thinker who pushes forward. He needs the adrenaline rush that comes when you go into new territory as an advertiser. If you never know in advance exactly how everything will turn out. If projects have to be accompanied intensively because their dynamics require it, then Rob feels in the right place. If an idea does not seem feasible at first for him, that's a good sign for Rob. It's proof that it's new.»
